Valet, a French term meaning male-servant, tends to, here in Michigan anyway, refer to a car-parker, one who simply jumps into a car and disappears into a multi-colored sea of vehicles known as a parking lot. This perhaps common misconception leaves valet attendants nearly bursting from their crisp white dress shirts, Windsor-knotted black ties, freshly pressed black dress pants, and polished black dress shoes to provide all of the services for which they are trained.
